Ensure your future MP is an IBD Champion in Parliament
On Thursday 8 June people across the UK will vote for their next Government. Crohn’s and Colitis UK want to ensure that all Parliamentary candidates understand what matters most to those affected by Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), their families and carers.
We know that awareness of IBD is not just low amongst the general public, but also amongst local and national politicians. This lack of awareness and recognition has resulted in the policies and priorities of political parties not always reflecting the distinct needs of people with IBD in health, education, employment and welfare.
This needs to change.
It is vital that our future MPs understand IBD and its impact on peoples' lives, as well as commit to use their office, both nationally and locally, to raise the profile of IBD.
What can you do?
